Scuba Gear Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.4) This mod allows us to obtain an interesting diving suit. The only way to acquire this suit is by obtaining pieces of it from Drowned mobs that are equipped with these diving suit pieces. Players cannot craft these pieces using a crafting table.
However, it’s not enough to simply kill all the Drowned mobs we encounter, as only some of them will be equipped with diving suit pieces. The most common piece that Drowned mobs will carry is the helmet, followed by boots, leggings, and finally the chestplate.
Obtaining the complete suit provides us with many extra functionalities, although each individual piece also grants new and interesting aquatic abilities. Let’s take a look at what each piece of the diving suit offers:
The helmet provides underwater breathing. The boots allow us to walk, not swim, faster underwater. The leggings enable faster swimming but not faster walking. The chestplate allows us to mine any block underwater at the same speed as outside the water.
