Realistic Torches Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.4) This mod focuses on modifying the functionality of one of the most commonly used items in the game, torches. With this mod installed, torches will behave much more realistically and become harder to obtain during the early stages of the game.
When crafting torches and placing them in the world, they will appear unlit, requiring a matchbox to light them. Torches found in structures will also spawn unlit. Additionally, outdoor torches will be extinguished by rain.
Moreover, all torches will automatically go out after sixty in-game minutes. Despite these changes, players can still craft torches that will function indefinitely, but they will be more expensive to create. These special torches are crafted with Glowstone.
This mod adds an interesting twist to the traditional use of torches, making players more conscious of their usage and adding an element of challenge to the gameplay.
